(no subject)
Alright. I'll have to post 3 emails I recieved from my sister at once, but I wanted to put this somewhere I wouldn't lose this, as well as let folks get a bit of a glimpse of what is going on -in- scene in New Orleans from the perspective of a Texas Game Warden- my brother-in-law, Kirk. My sister and her husband are both VERY devout Christians, and even though I do not share the same religious beliefs, I harbor nothing but pride in my brother-in-law's Decon position in his church as well as the sheer selflessness these two have displayed on constant basis as well as their understanding and love that just overflows. These are emails written by my sister, relaying everything she's found out daily. On to the first.

Kirk is among fifty Texas Game Wardens being deployed initially to Louisiana (final destination TBA) to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. He leaves Tuesday morning and has been told to expect to stay at least five nights. He is taking a boat, so it's likely he'll be doing rescue and/or security work. I'll let you know more when I find out something, but please be praying for him and for the people he will be helping in the meantime.
