I've long said that the debate as to whether humans were basically good (and occaisionally made mistakes) or basically evil (but occaisionally overcame it and were good) was fatally flawed because the fact is that people are basically *stupid* (and occaisionally overcome it and get edgookated...). I truly believe that most people are so moronic that they actually don't know good from evil, sensible from senseless, logical from knee-jerk-emotional, their head from melon... It's times like this that I understand why some of the founding fathers strongly believed that not everyone should be allowed to vote...
