Baby: He got his first real hair cut. It makes him look much more like a little boy and less like a baby. Such a little thing makes a huge difference. He's talking off and on. He'll speak in sentences, then the next day he refuses to say a word. I took him in to get his pictures taken with a Real Live Bunny! He was interested and off-put. "Why do these people keep putting this thing on me? I want to play with the toys. Oh look, it has EARS. **tug-tug**" A says that if you are very bad in this life, you will come back as a photo studio bunny.
Mural: Now with 100% more monkey. Only 33% of the total monkeyness is complete.
Press: It's back from sandblasted. The large piece is filled with auto body epoxy. Other pieces are soaking in rust remover (lemon juice and vinegar). Sanding the epoxy smooth is more annoying than I anticipated. C enjoyed watching me dump the gallon jugs of vinegar into the 5 gallon bucket.
Bike trailer: It's hooked up correctly now. The first ride went poorly, since I didn't have the hitch and didn't know I was missing it. It was hooked up rigidly to the quick release on the back tire. Not being able to turn became problematic, even on a short ride. I towed the boy to day care, then biked to work today. It went well.
Garden: The garden is sprouting. A bunch of the perennials are coming up in the front beds. The 80 degree weather tricked a lot of the plants to sprout early. The strawberries are growing and spreading enthusiastically. The rhubarb has broken the ground. Raspberries are putting out leaves. The chives... nothing can kill the chives. No sign of asparagus yet. The daffodils are almost open and the crocuses (crocii?) are in full bloom. The boy has been helping me weed. Fortunately, the rabbit proof fence is also a C proof fence. He has started copying my mannerisms in the garden. He puts his hands on his hips and says, "Hmmmmmmm. Weed. puhl-puhl-puhl."
