I got Hand, Foot and Mouth disease from the babies at day care. (
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000965.htm) It feels like chicken pox in my mouth. I didn't get the hand/ foot/ diaper area outbreak, for which I am relieved. The boy probably had a couple of sores in his mouth last week when he was so miserable. I didn't see any, but he fought like a mad thing to keep me from looking too closely. His response to food was similar to what mine would be if I didn't feel badly about spitting everything out. Food is scratchy and everything tastes like metal. My tongue hurts. Chocolate tastes bad. I don't feel *sick* but I do feel yucky and very grumpy.
The update I got from the nice folks fixing my press is that all of the repairs were successful and should be ready to pick up next week. No real news yet.
C is feeling better and generally cheerful. He knows a surprising number of animal names (rhino, zebra, llama, tiger, sheep-bah-bah). We went to the toy store and picked up a selection of plastic animals. They are currently being employed to hide under the boys shirt when they are not busy kissing each other.
