American Health Care and insurance
to my American friends out in livejournal land. here is an interesting article that notes the number of Americans living with out any type of health insurance.
Some of the comments on the newspaper website have tried to make this into a comment on how poor the Canadian health care system is because of the fact htat mayn intellegent docotrs are leaving for the states because they can get more money. however, IMHO, they are missing the point of the article.

And believe me, I am not posting this to knock the US. I think that it is an issue that you need to address. In a country that can spend Trillions fighting a war half-way across the world why there are so many people who can't afford private insurance. I believe that your president Obama has mde some mention of potential change, but we will see what he is able to enact and whether your congress will hinder his efforts.
