BBC 1 Has Gone Off the Air...
Well, a week from Thursday we'll be heading back to America. Still no word from Melissa whether she and Jesi will definitely be coming down. I sure hope so, It'll feel so wierd flying 8,420 miles and not even be able to see her. There is one weekend that we could possibly fly up to NYC, (like I did last trip), but we'll have to see how expensive the flights are on such a short notice. Kurt says we can plan a trip over the holidays (in 3 1/2 more months), if we aren't able to work it out this time.
Luc (Kurt's bro) has been coming over regularly and Maggie seems to like him a lot. Misha is still a bit wary, but she's always been a bit of a scaredy cat. Because Misha had gotten into the habit of running behind the sofa when people stop by, I moved the sofa out and made her a little bedroom behind there. She seems quite content. =) On Monday Luc will practice giving Misha her insulin shots. I'm thinking that it'll go just fine.
Kurt's dad is having angioplasty done on Thursday. He has pretty severe lung disease and has already suffered one heart attack. Please keep him in your thoughts and/or prayers? I'm pretty worried about him.
Kurt's having to arise ar 4:45 am these days. Since I'm a night person (obviously), I stay up, make cofee, make sure he's up (he can sleep through THREE alarms) and then usually head off to catch a few zzzz's myself. We're both WAY sleep deprived.
It's gotten really cold in the evenings here. Tonight, we drove to feed the stray chickens, down by the canal. There was a HUGE full moon and it felt like an October night already. It was so pretty.
Oh, and the cops stopped and asked us what we were doing. It was a little embarrassing, I must have looked like some kind of crazy chicken-lady....throwing pasta, bread, celery etc into the darkness of the hedges. Oh well...I've been caught doing crazier things. I could hear the chickens, already roosting for the night in the trees, and I know they'll have food for tomorrow, so I'm glad.
I made kabobs tonight for dinner and they were yummy,
I know, I'm boring. It's 6:20 am, whattaya expect? :P
Okay, i'm off to bed...
