Good Times
So I feel like enough fun things have been happening lately that I can go ahead and make a post.
So first off, the job has been great. Yeah it's tiring and the days are really long but overall I really enjoy what I do, it's hard to believe this is my real job! And I still have lots to learn so as I get better at what I do I'll only enjoy it more.
Me and my mom met it St. Augustine Friday to do some house hunting. I learned that I cannot afford to live in St. Augustine, unless I want to live in a neighborhood where I'm afraid to go outside at night. And I don't want that. So the next day we went to Palm Coast and looked at places there, and that was a lot more promising. The town has this new, clean feel to it. The neighborhoods we drove through all looked really nice. And, I can afford to live there. It looks like I'll probably rent a duplex/ small house there. I'll be able to have a yard and a garden, I'm excited about it :) Its not the most happening town ever but there are certainly lots of stores and restaurants, and if I really want some action I can just go to St. Aug, which is only 30 minutes away. Now that I know where I want to move, I can start the whole moving process. I have big time mixed feelings on the whole thing, but I've tried not to think about it too much. I feel like how I felt when I was graduating. Hehe. I'll deal with it when the time comes...
Today I went out and renewed my contract and got a new phone. It was MUCH needed. My phone had become ancient in this technologically expanding world. So I put a lot of time into researching phones so that I would get one that I would actually be happy with for the next 2 years. I got an LG Scoop and I'm really happy with it so far. Still learning all the "bells and whistles" but so far so good. It may be happy to get so excited over just a new phone but I love having new toys. Next on the list is a new laptop...but that will probably be after I move. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long, because this thing is fading fast. I've had it for 4 and 1/2 years now...yeah. Time to upgrade.
Tonight I went and got Sonny's with Lindsay and Rocco and boy was it delicious. Sonny's is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. Nothing beats sweet sauce and to go sweet tea :)
The rest of the evening will consist of setting up my keyboard again. I haven't played in forever and I feel like it's a good time to start it up again. I'll probably watch some good cartoons too :)
Tomorrow Dave comes back from Vegas! And I have to wake up at 4:30. UGH. But it should be a good day, I get to take the St. John's up to Jacksonville. RAWR JAGUARS!!!
Once football season starts I can go see scores and such on the new phone. Heck yeah. Now if only there were Jai Alai updates...
