Stuff
Ok so I'm a bit late updating and stuff so I thought I'd rectify that. Pennsic was very enjoyable despite the weather. Those who were there know the tale of my brand new tent that decided to leak horribly with the first rain fall and left my bed soaked. Well I took the darned thing back to CTire and after much attitude and "pleasant" conversation, I was given a refund. They wanted to give me an identical replacement tent...hmmm...what part of lousy design didn't they understand?...lol. So anyways, it all worked out. I'm just grumpy that it made my Pennsic a little less enjoyable but live and learn.
I was back for a week and then my parents asked me to go up to their trailer with them. I hummed and haaaaed for a bit but I decided to go since it was my mom's birthday. It was sooo beautiful up there. Their trailer is in Southampton, pretty close to Sauble. We went for a long walk down the beach and I hadn't realized how much I missed the feeling of walking in the surf and just enjoying my parents company. We went out for a nice dinner and then sat in front of a campfire and toasted marshmallows. How I miss being a kid...lol. Not that I'm saying a grown up or anything...smiles.
Well tomorrow I am going to a conference on Autism in New Market. It is a 3 day conference and starts at 8am. every day. I figure I will have to be on the road by 6:30am if I'm going to make it there on time and miss traffic. This I'm not looking forward to. I don't actually go back to work until Sept. 4 but will start setting up my class next week. I just can't believe how fast the summer has flown and I am left wondering if I feel refreshed or not...I'm told it's all about attitude so we shall see. I would just really love to find a sense of peace within myself that seems to be eluding me right now....sigh. Well this is my life right now. Tomorrow is another day.
