Eeeeeeee!!!! You did it. You wrote Castiel/Dean, and it is wonderful.
I love the way you give us Dean's take on life. This sums up so perfectly how his life has run out of control: Castiel was okay, Castiel was not dying, and Dean was touching Castiel in a vaguely inappropriate way through a thin shirt. How do these things happen?
*snicker* If only I knew, then perhaps I too might be touching Castiel inappropriately.
And then there's this: Dean felt "Seraph" being torn from him between breaths -- from somewhere ancient and sacred -- but the low voice in his ear said, "No, that is not my name."
*flails in an Eomeresque way* Ack, the mixture of the hot and the profane and the sacred - it burns. In a good way.
And this: But then they were falling back to earth, stardust in the wake, and they lay pressed together damp with sweat on a bed that was too small to hold so many unsaid things.
I just adore this; so many, many things unsaid, and will always be unsaid between them, yet it doesn't actually matter because they know it. I also love the basic premise here of Dean's reaction to seeing Jimmy shot. I need to go and watch that again (except, like Dean, I found it hard to differentiate Jimmy from Cas at that precise moment in time, so seeing that will never not be painful).
As well of course as the last line. Simply wonderful. I feel wonderfully happy and satisfied here: this is what happens next. *taps foot impatiently awaiting transmission of this episode on Thursday*
Oh, I'm *so pleased* that you liked it. Thanks so much for these lovely thoughts.

*snort* Exactly.
the hot and the profane and the sacred
Castiel should appear in the Hercverse, Y/Y? Crossing paths with pouty kings and Caesar, Julius Caesar?
except, like Dean, I found it hard to differentiate Jimmy from Cas at that precise moment in time
Such a contrast with earlier in the episode, when Jimmy's having a meal for the first time, where Dean seems freakishly able to separate the two. Going over that scene again, I wonder if it's valid to read that as overcompensation from Dean ("...meat suit"?).

*grins* Oh god, if only. What we got instead just about killed me. I will never make it through the finale.
Thank you again. Your encouragement means so much to me!
(And now my journal has been graced by Holy Tax Accountant. Awesome!)
Oh, the thought of Castiel and Caesar meeting... Two beings each with a very private agenda, but lots of hotness and pouting. Speaking of pouting, I don't think that Ares would be too impressed by Castiel establishing any sort of contact with Iphicles. I foresee a smiting showdown.

Have you thought of posting this to any of the comms? It's so lovely that I'm sure others would like to read it. :)
