I love that feeling that something good is happening. One of my close friends is now going to Estrella and that just makes my day. Even if I was just the catalyst, I'm so ecstatic because it means so much on so many levels of cameraderie. And the roadtrip is now going to be something fun, a time to get to know a new friend better too.
Wow. Estrella will always be a special event for me because it was my first real outing. Like the kid at summer camp the just walks off the platform diving board without stopping to realize just HOW far down the water starts, it was great to just jump in. One year down, a lifetime to go! As I was walking back from the parking lot at the beginning of the week, a stranger from Artimesia offered to give me a lift back to the West camp. He gave me a token they give to newbies. Something to wear or hold on to until you don't feel like a newbie any more, then pass it on. I'll be passing it on now. (Thanks to all those who welcomed me to the deep end of the pool, back40joules !)
