Yeah, speaking of Now, the Now pop music series sure does kick a lot of ass in England. And not that much in the States. This fact keeps hitting me time and again... at the moment, I'm trying to come up with some catchy popular tunes that I can make into a cappella pieces for a crew recital. And I like the UK music from Now 58 a whole lot more than I like the US stuff from Now 16. I mean... house-pop covers of Romanian folk tunes! And Lola's Theme! Geez American pop music is lame. But I kinda have to stick with it because nobody around here's ever heard of Lola's Theme or Dragostea Din Tei.

Interest #32 - being spunky (7 users).
The main impact of the word "spunky" on my life these days was actually not based on the lyrics in Digital Underground's "Humpty Dance" (at least not consciously). "Spunky" is one of the frat nicknames I've picked up, that and "Limey." Limey because I tell everyone I'm from England 'cuz it's the last place I lived. The spunkiness came out at a particular point the pledging process of my fraternity; a serious question is asked about my character, and a very specific answer is wanted. I gave a well thought-out answer the first time I tried to answer it, and it was rejected out-of-hand. Take two, I just said "I'm spunky." And then I hear the majority of the active chapter laughing their asses off. What can I say, I just don't have a lot of respect for the system. When I lost all the weight, there was some question as to whether the spunkiness was still there, but I think the name has stuck.

Interest #49 - blackballed probies (me again).
Nobody else seems to like blackballed probies; that is, the people who fail to bridge over from their pledging process to becoming actives in our fraternity. This in general would make sense, since otherwise you would think they would get to make it in. But I just have a lot of love for two of the guys in my class who ended up getting blackballed, Gui and Drew. God knows what happened to Gui, Drew ended up joining our rival frat and still plays badass clarinet here at Tech.

Interest #15 - Breakfast Club (61 users).
Yeah this movie is hardcore. I always liked it growing up, and I think my fondness for it was solidified my senior year when I figured out the date they mention in the movie when everything takes place is I think exactly three weeks after the day I was born. It's fate, I tell ya. Judd Nelson was harsh, I used to have a killer poster from this flick, now I just have the slightly less killer one. Badass one pictured.

Interest #45 - breaded catsticks (me 'n
santoinocencia).
I don't remember where this came from, me and Erynn were talking about food...or something...I honestly don't even have the slightest idea when this conversation took place, either. All I remember is that at some point we came up with the idea of merging cats and fish sticks and breaded catsticks were born. We both love 'em, never leave home without 'em. And Erynn made this cute little picture of them.
That's all for this round!
Oh, incidentally...

Interest #65 - passing judgement (2 users).
2 users? Come on people! I know we're not supposed to do it, but I know there's got to be more people out there who get some sort of enjoyment out of passing judgement on others! Look at this guy! Not only has he freakin' costumized himself to look like a character from DDR, he's wearing like brown construction paper or something on his head. The lack of dignity that is associated with his actions is something I cannot even fathom.
