Ah, it's almost the seventh, isn't it? ... That means that by this time back home, we'd be having Tanabata festivals already.

That's why I think Tanabata is a useless tradition. Sure, some people might find it fun, but it's just making wishes that will never be granted.

I'm not sure.. I haven't heard about it yet, but it wouldn't be surprising for some Japanese people to do so.
