Ritsuko approached the Haynes household nervously. Tonight was the night. She would be spending the night with Mattie for the first time in their relationship. They had never had this time to themselves before since their parents had always prevented them unintentionally. Mattie's father wasn't here tonight and she had her mom's permission to stay

"I just can alright its wrong to base a relationship on sex Rits. I have been faithful without it and I won't do it. I have my morals." Mattie wasn't to sure if he had gave Ritsuko these signals or not.

"I don't base a relationship on sex either. Guys always do. All they want out of a relationship is sex..."

"Well you got your theory wrong then Ritsuko because I don't. I don't want to have sex with you." Matt said flatly.

Ritsuko was having a hard time understanding Mattie's points. She had always believed sex is what boys wanted, what kept them around. "And why not!?" she screamed. She had a sickening feeling that their relationship was over. She pulled her shirt over her head and stood up as she got ready to leave.

"Because I don't want to just throw away my virginity if your not the one." Mattie yelled in anger as he noticed Ritsuko trying to leave. He did nothing wrong as he had a right to say no didn't he?!

His words stung her. She ran towards the door, slipping her shoes on. She kept hearing 'if you're not the one' over and over in her mind. Without looking back at Mattie, she slammed the door shut. The tears were coming even faster now.

Mattie wanted to run off after her but was so angry. He wasn't sure if it was with himself or Ritsuko, it was because he wouldn't go this far that he was dumped back when he lived in Australia, she got impatient. He thought Ritsuko understood this about him as well, he didn't want to have sex just to prove himself.

He knew too that he should have went after her. It was obvious Ritsuko didn't understand why he turned her down and Matt needed to explain. It would most likely fall on deaf ears with how upset she was she wouldn't listen well, he didn't want to just fight and yell. Taking a seat on the couch Mattie put his face in his hands and wondered how his 'prefect' date turned out so horrible.
