Leg Tapping, Finger Biting...

First the good:

I played football on Wednesday and Thursday for TKE. I loved getting out there again (if this gets back to mom, I'll kick you in the head Anika). Wednesday was a slaughter-house, but Thrusday was exciting. Unfortunately, we blew a 6-0 with a minute and a half left, gave up an interception with 30 seconds left and on the Last friggin' play, gave up a bomb to lose 6-12. I played defense until the very last drive. I feel bad though, because Jameson wanted to sub in for me during the game, and I said no. My only thing, was that there were people playing iron man. Why should I give up time when I'm playing limited as is, and there are people playing every down. I wish he could've switched in for one of them. Also, Aaron was being nastey (to me) on the field, but I've come to expect that from him. It's the same bitterness from him we've come to expect and lov... err... live with. I don't have much respect for him anyways, and that sentiment is echoed by many.

After that, I went over to the UN meeting and saw how they do things. It was a lot of fun. They're super nice, and I look forward to next Thursday. I missed most of the meeting for the football game, but next time, I'll be ready to represent my country with pride. I've learned hella' stuff about Burundi, and judging by last meeting, I knew more about my country after a week, than most of the regulars did about their's. I'm ready to fight for more aids funding... And hell, why would they argue? It's not like they actually lose any money over it...

Still, a big thing right now, is this constant state of angst. Politics are a constant stress, and there are OTHER things on my mind too. On the subject of politics though, T.J. and I argued about minimum wage. This doesn't seem to be a completely republican versus democrat battle here though. I know some democrats that voted against the minimum wage hike. But still, there was one thing that was laughable that T.J. said. He said, "if you lower the minimum wage, wages might even go up." Sort of the same mentallity that argues lower taxes will raise the government's income. I won't dive in too deep on this though. I don't want to get political chatter going. You can vote anyway you like on that, it's not one of my big topics. There are arguments on both sides (some better than what you just heard obviously), and I'm not saying to vote one way or the other, just find a better reason to vote against it if you do.

There are other things getting me nervous though. Actually though, a lot of things I'd rather not get into. My stomach flutters thinking about them. I doubt I could handle typing about them for 10+ minutes. It's sad though when going out and having dinner with friends has me rattling my feel and glancing at my phone every 5 minutes. Still... I won't get into it on an open post. Anyways, I need to go get ready for my Calculus exam. I'm ready to fail big time today. Hooray!

Finally, to sum things up... Tuesday is election day. God Bless it... It'll all be over soon. It fealt great to finally vote though... I won't go into that on a public post though...
