dream #3.

ive decided to start documenting my dreams, because this is the third weird dream in a row. so. here's last night's:

I'm going to a well established mob casino. Inside, lots of people have guns and there's lots of security to get into the actual place. Its more like the DMV than a place for fun, though. While I'm pulling in, a car cuts me off and hits me, scraping up my car. The occupants get out. All of them are definitely sleazy mobsters. They ask me not to call the police, and hand me 300 dollars to get my car fixed. I point out to them that realistically, it will cost more than that. They agree, and leave to get me more money. I wait and wait at the DMV/casino, andre and some other people are there with me. I am about to give up on them, so I write my name and number to give to the front desk. I write it several times because every time, my numbers come out wrong. Finally, they show back up and give me thousands of dollars, which I stow in a paper bag. Later, I am walking home through my neighborhood, which is all wrong and I cant find the right street to walk up, even though I keep turning onto streets next to mine. I drop the money, and two girls help me pick it up. I ask a man to walk me home because I'm nervous about getting mugged. He is covered in mud from his armpits to his feet, but says yes.

This won't be as interesting after thefact, but the last two i had were strange too. One was that I was attending a fourth of july party at the home of my best friend from 3rd grade, Danny. Everything in his house is just like it was 15 years ago, but we are adults. Even the walk from my old house to his is the same. One room of his house becomes the interior of the public library, where I see my friend Mike, who in real life, i've just visited in California. He says "how was your trip to california?" and i say "great, i saw mike!" and he's like "no way! tell me more!" and at that point im confused because he *is* Mike.

Saturday nights was that I was driving across the country, but ended up in Flanders, as in, the historic region that is now Belgium and the Netherlands. People said "tak!" to say hello. Mike was there visiting his parents, but his parents looked like my friend Hana's parents. We went yarn shopping at a place we called Webs (like the actual store in Mass?) but was terribly disappointing and had very little yarn to choose from.
