So I had my date last night. It was very, very nice. We stayed for about 2 hours. We talked and talked, and each had a small drink; me: coconut Cuco-Rita (margarita from cucos); him: Starwberry daquari. They were both very weak, though. One thing surprised me about him: HE HAS NEVER HEARD OF HELLO KITTY!!!!!!!
He said he was going to survey his class today and see how many of them knew of Hello Kitty. I said at least 90% will know.
So yeah, it was really great!! He asked his secretary (my friend) if I had a good time, and she told him I did, of course, and then he said he was waiting til he got in his office to go "WOO HOO!!" hee hee hee *blush*
OK, so I don't obsess, as I am likely to do, I will change the subject. Luckily (kind of), there is something a bit interesting going on here at work today to distract me. There is a huge storm front coming straight for us, and all the schools in the area are closed. Even the other junior college about 20 miles NORTH of us has closed down for the day, but as it stands now, we are remaining open. I think this is slightly dumb, since most of our students, especially the night class students are parents, so they have to go get their children since all the schools are closed.... so how can they come to class?? I was supposed to give an exam for an ill teacher at 3, but then this snotty student came in and was all "Where is Ms Gregory?!?! Oh no, if we have to be here, so does she, whine whine whine." So she actually called the teacher on the phone and convinces her to cancel the test. She tells the teacher there are only 3 students in the class, when there are actually 7, but hey, whatever. I got out of having to administer a test, so I was relieved.
OMG IF ONE MORE PERSON CALLS ME TO ASK IF WE ARE STILL HAVING CLASS, I WILL SCREAM!! "but there's a tornado watch." "we are still having class." "even though though there is a tornado coming?" "well, actually, a tornado WATCH only means that conditions are 'right' for a tornado, not that there *is* a tornado." "well, i'm not driving in this weather." "well i don't really give a flying rat's ass!"
Ok I didn't really say that, but I thought it. >:)
