I have had a headache for almost a week now. I think I have a cavity in one of my back teeth, right next to my wisdom tooth, so maybe that is the cause. But nothing is helping it. I have tried Excederin Migraine, Advil, Aleive, even Midol. Nothing is working. And now my tooth is starting to throb. Soemtimes it is fine. During the day time, when I am not too busy and able to call the dentist to make an appointment, it is fine. But as soon as I get really busy, or when I get home at night and it's too late to call the dentist, that is when it really starts to bother me. I know I ought to just go ahead and call the dentist right now.... RIGHT NOW!! But but but... EEEK I HATE THE DENTIST!!!!!!! I AM SCARED!!! I have only had one other cavity in my whole life, and it was in one of my wisdom teeth not even a year ago. And you know what they did?? THEY PULLED THE WHOLE FRIKKIN TOOTH OUT!! And smarty me went to an all-female dentist office where they don't use "the gas", which I didn;t know until I got in the chair ready for the tooth to be pulled from my skull. So I started freaking and they finally had to give me some Valium. I was feeling peachy-keen for about 30 minuted, while the dentist let the Valium "kick in", then, as soon as I saw those horrid plier-things, BOOM!! Valium-what?? The adrenaline or whatever totally counteraffected any possitive affect the Valium had given me and I had to endure the tooth-pulling. It was awful. I will never go back to that place again.
There is supposedly a dentist office somewhere in town that caters to those who are afraid of dentists. They will give you Valium to take the night before, so you can sleep, another for in the morning before you go, and then they use gas, novocaine, and whatever else it takes to keep you calm during your procedure. I want to find this place. I am not *that* scared of the dentist.... but I have never had a cavity filled before. And I am getting conflicted evidence on whether or not it is really painful; some say no, not at all, while others tell horror stories.
