(no subject)
i should definetly be doing my case brief of U.S v. Lopez or taking care of some admistrative chores (making them get rid of the parking ticket that they gave me for no reason) but i am feeling talktive and i am in the library so what else to do but write a bit. I think that i have a little black cloud that follows me from apartment to apartment and makes me have plumbing issues. first there was the always broken toilets at UAB that they never bothered to fix until both toilets in the suite were fucked up. and then there was the horrible, awful, unspeakable sewage overflowing into my apartment. and now at five am there is a knock on the door. once i was awake enough to realize that a knock meant that someone wants in i opened the door to find my landlord who is investigating a leak coming from my apt in to the one below me. apparently my water heater has sprung a leak so they had to turn off my water. she said htat the plumber would be there first thing in the morning. of course it was five am so wasn't it already first thing in the morning. but it was 9:45 when i left and there was no plumber in sight. why do things always happen to me. I can't wait to move to my new place and set up cute little minilibrary in the study. yes, i will have a study! and a pool. and laundry facilities. and tennis courts. and they are oldish. so i don't have to worry about my fear of new building/things kicking in. I can also have cats and so i will be bringing Ally and Harriet up first thing.
