I have started working mostly from home. It's having a strange effect on my ability to tell time. I am staying up later and taking more frequent naps. All the days blur together and I have a hard time telling them apart.
Friday: shopping spree and then wonderful date with Rachel.
Saturday: ?
Sunday: ?
Monday: ?
Tuesday: Usability lab during the day, can't remember later?
Wednesday: Trouble working from home. Work email failing, no one answering their phones, and then I blew a fuse leaving me without power in the home office. Worked on some freelance and went to Rachel's, then we slept here.
Thursday: Was not nearly as productive as I'd planned to be. Was kind of a jerk ruining most of the day. Went to one of my geek meet ups at the Harp, drank good scotch, had terrible service.
One day I went and bought some paint for the insides of my book case and dining room cabinets. I am thinking about buying a scanner tomorrow, both so I can scan some sketches for a client and so I can start scanning in drawings and coloring them on the computer. I also tried to buy my dream turntable from a guy in Cleveland but he backed out because his brother wanted it. At some point I bought Skype, it's awesome. I also put up the curtains in my living room, but still have to do the bedroom. One night Rachel was in a bummer mood so I brought her a bunch of junk and we smoked cigarettes and drank champagne.
Here is the living room and some pictures of Rachel's cat being cute:
Also here are some icons this week, I got commissioned to do a full set of 26 for a financial application. I am pretty excited because I beat out a pretty well respected icon design shop for the job.
