Happy new year to all! I did a 2008 survey; reflecting on the past 12 months I'd lived.
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Well, one thing for sure, I ate at Swensens a whole lot more than ever before. In fact, every time my Mum and I went to a mall, we would surely drop in to the ice-cream restaurant to have our lunch/dinner. Honestly, they should offer memberships now.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I find resolutions completely pointless, because I'm the sort who takes each day as it comes.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousin's wife!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Unfortunately Fortunately, no...
5. What countries did you visit?
I went to Phuket, Thailand just last month. Lucky thing all that political havoc were over the time I came.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A better paying job, so I can finally feel safer at finally getting a car?
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
1st February 2008, I finally passed my driving license.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
As stated, finally getting my driver's permit.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not getting a government job. Man! When will I not suck at giving job interviews?!
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
My eyes! They're forever taunting me.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
An LCD tv just for my bedroom to compliment the other big one in the living room! Haha! Finally, my home is equipped! LOL!
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Eh?! Can't think of no one.
13. Whose behavior appalled you?
My cousins' offsprings! Argh! I hate children!
14. Where did most of your money go?
Taxi charges!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Watching Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai 2nd ever movie together in February; 'Jodhaa Akbar'.
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
'Jaane Kyun' from Dostana.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Save more money, and go home/work by public bus?

Be a pruning prude.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Mostly with my colleagues since my family do not celebrate it.
21. How will you be spending New Year's?
At home watching DVDs.
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
With John Abraham. Gah! I used to find him unalluring, but after watching Dostana and Baabul, gawd! I'm in love!

*snorts* Are you serious?
24. What was your favorite TV program?
'Hannah Montana' - LOL! I love that kid, moreso her brother, Jackson!
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I'll regret saying this, but Aishwarya Rai. Not hate hate, but rather annoyed. She's becoming way too choosy about her films and co-stars ever since she got married. Gah! I'm getting sick of seeing her only with her husband.
26. What was the best book you read?
The Tales of Beedle the Bard! About the only new book I touched.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Can I choose a person? Soumen Nandi, from Zee Tv's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Gah! I'm crushing on him big time, what with that gorgeous voice.
28. What did you want and get?
Sea Monkeys!
29. What did you want and not get?
Blu-Ray player. I know I could succumb with my PS3, but I wanted a standalone Blu-Ray player. *pouts*
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
'Jodhaa Akbar' and 'Dostana'.
31. What did you do on your birthday?
I purchased Disney's 'The Little Mermaid' special edition DVD. The special dinner my friends got me at Swensens was 3 days prior.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Higher pay... but one thing for sure, if WB hadn't delay 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince', they'd fucking sure make my year more memorable.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
I think I'd improved on my fashion front. I used to wear garbage to my previous work. But I guess with the dressing policy at my new workplace, it gave me no chance of under-dressing myself. :P
34. What kept you sane?
Harry Potter, Internet, TV.. EBay..
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
This year... It's a tie between Rupert Grint and John Abraham.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Obama winning the elections.
37. Who did you miss?
I'd say my high school mates. I don't know, it's been 7 years since I finished school, but for some reason, I kept missing my school life a lot this year.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
My new colleagues, Anne and Vanita.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.
Finally passing my driver's license really taught me that perseverance is really the key to success.
