Wow, it has been forever since I have given a fully-functional update about my life and the many twists and turns I have encountered since 2008 first opened. =) Here goes.
I started The Salon Professional Academy (or TSPA as I will reference it) on July 14. The first eight weeks were hell seeing as I knew nobody in my class. 10 girls, 1 boy. I was pretty much convinced that we would all stick to our own persons and not really socialize with one another. Boy, was I wrong. Within the first 2 weeks we hated one another. Well, they all did. I was content to sit and do my homework and learn about cosmetology laws and procedures. I didn't really make friends until about the last two week of 'Basics'. I started on the floor on September 10 and so far I have managed to do fairly well as far as my progress and goals go. =)
Through the years I have managed to dye my hair many different colors, this last time I went red. At first, we had three different shades of red. Deep on the bottom, medium in the middle, and a lighter on top. Then we aimed for little mermaid red and missed on the second try, success on the third. It washed out within a week and I now had bright red at my roots and coppery-orange on the ends. Because my hair is naturally curly it blended pretty well. However, when we straightened my hair I had this whole susnset effect going on. Hence the reason they dubbed me Sunset Sarah. ^^
At first it was totally cool, but because my natural color is dark blonde and my hair has grown out since then it looks really shitty. And, as luck would have it, I cannot decolorize my hair because it has been damaged so much that it would be a 'chemical cut'. x.x So, I keep the shit hair until it grows out. >.> Or I color it with something dark and I don;t want to go dark ever again! So yeah. Sunset Sarah stays until at least another two weeks.
As for the rest of my life..nonexistant. I go to school Tuesday 9:00-4:30, Wednesday & Thursday 1:00-8:30, Friday & Saturday 9:00-4:30. So I get home and I'm exhausted. And endless cycle, and I want some friends to hang out with! =(
I totally made a few friends out on the floor, but I live an hour away and so hanging out cannot be spontaneous. Blech! Oh and did I mention that we may be moving up to that area? Yeah, Newburgh. All six of us. ZOMG, an adventure.
