In this courtroom, Jaejoong and Yunho are strangers.
Jung Yunho doesn’t know Kim Jaejoong.
“It was approximately three-thirty in the afternoon when Mr. Kim was seen at the park.”
We were making out at three-thirty in the afternoon at the park.
Kim Jaejoong doesn’t know Jung Yunho.
“According to Mr. Park here, Mr. Kim was alone at that time and apparently, the park was empty-not a soul was around except Mr. Kim’s.”
Actually, no, you practically ate up my soul by the rate we were going.
Jaejoong only knows Yunho-the one outside of the courtroom, not in front of the Judge; the one in nothing but sweatpants and a white t-shirt, not in the grey suit Jaejoong picked out for Yunho the other day; the one who always said he loved him, not accuse him of being a murderer.
Jaejoong much preferred being on the swings than behind these bars-handcuffed.
“Another witness saw Mr. Kim at the park. Mr. Shim here claims that he saw Mr. Kim with a gun in one hand and occasionally shot at the ground with it, as though he was practising for when his target came. Mr. Shim drove away hurriedly when his sight caught Mr. Kim’s.”
Fucking liar.
Jaejoong gripped his fists-knuckles white.
“My last witness for today is Mrs. Jung. Yes, she is my wife, but she swears to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.”
Jaejoong knows her, Mrs. Jung. It’s the same person Jaejoong found in the same bed as Yunho-under him and all sweaty from bedroom activities.
He only closed the door quietly and walked away.
“What did you see?”
She probably got a sightful of us swapping our saliva. If only she was even there.
“He shot the kid with his gun. He shot her, without a second thought.”
She began to cry. Yunho stroked her hair and caressed her face, whispering ‘It’s okay’ into her ear.
He turned around without even glancing in Jaejoong’s direction.
“I rest my case.”
Go die.
Jaejoong has been found guilty by the words of Jung Yunho and his paid friends-all lies, bullshit.
At this park, Jaejoong and Yunho are suspicious lovers.
“Yunho,” Jaejoong whispered, eyes full of hope, “You won’t leave me, will you?”
Yunho only caressed Jaejoong’s right cheek and pecked his forehead. He nodded slightly with a soft smile to assure Jaejoong.
“Then why don’t you tell me where you are going?”
“Corner shop. I’ll be back in a sec.”
“Promise me.”
“Just trust me.”
Jaejoong doesn’t, not yet. Not with Yunho shoving a gun in his hand and telling him to look after it until he comes back from who knows where.
“Alright.”
With that, Yunho left Jaejoong on the swings, alone.
A gun in one hand, which peeked out from under Jaejoong t-shirt.
Lips swollen from earlier.
On the phone, it’s full of lies-lies are told and lies are uncovered.
“Your call could not be connected. Please leave a message after the tone.”
“Yunho? Yunho. Where are you? The police. They’re here.”
You’re my melo-
“Yunho?”
“Don’t bother me anymore. I’m with my wife right now. Oh, and by the way, I’m changing my number. Bye.”
“What? Yun-,”
Blip.
“Your call could not be connected. Please leave a message after the tone.”
“Fucking hate you. You’re fucking nothing but bullshit. I hope you fucking die in a fucking fire.”
Blip.
I still love you.
