OMG SGA
There was so much to love about tonight's SGA. I missed the first nine minutes of "Prodigal," but what I saw was delightful.
1. Michael, thank you for finally being dead. I was totally over your comic-book-villain antics and the way your story had ceased to be in any way coherent. Also, I'm really glad Teyla got to kill your ass. She totally deserved it.
2. Ronon, you are a bad ass. I've always known that, of course, but your interactions with Woolsey were made of win, and the way you just took charge during the planning? Totally hot.
3. Random gate tech possibly named Amelia, you are also a bad ass. Kickboxing + tech skillz + hanging with Ronon = awesome. I like you.
4. John and Rodney, I don't know if I have words for the love I'm experiencing for y'all.
a. the bickering could not be more adorable and hilarious and married. For example, the exchange about the jumpers Rodney promised to fix two years ago was wonderful. Plus, this: "Highly unlikely." "Perfect. What do you need, fifteen minutes?" made me cackle like a loon, and also make "awwww" noises at how much faith John has in Rodney.
b. Rodney has lost count of John's suicide missions. And doesn't want him to keep doing them! I just - they're so - *flails*
5. THE LAST SCENE WAS PURE AND ABSOLUTE JOY. Teyla, laughing and happy and gorgeous, and John and Rodney, teasing and grinning and in love. IT MADE ME SO HAPPY, I CAN'T EVEN TELL YOU.
6. Zelenka, your awesome is, as always, unparalleled. Stun bubble, indeed.
7. Teyla, have I told you lately that I love you? Like when you kicked that dude down the stairwell without waking up your baby (who has magical sleeping powerz, yo). Or when you were laughing your ass of at John and Rodney's shenanigans at the end. Or when you killed Michael, finally.
So tonight's ep - not technically very good, but any of several scenes (Ronon and Woolsey, John and Rodney and Teyla, John and Rodney and suicide missions, Rodney and Zelenka) would have made it worthwhile for me. The combination totally did me in. :)
