I got a job...serving at Steak n Shake. It's not the best job, but I'll be working 2nd or 3rd shift and will be getting pretty good tips as soon as i'm finished "training." I haven't really been seeing krista enough though because we seem to have almost opposite schedules. i am not happy about this. we did a little fourth of july thing together, bought fireworks and everything. we didn't really need to though, all of our neighbors really put on a show. gotta love the dirty south.
so, yesterday before i went to work, i was sitting at home by myself and the phone rings. The man at the other asks for Krista, i tell him she's not home. he asked who i was and i said "Leslie." he acted like he knew me, "re-introduced" himself as "James from church" and just starting chatting about our holiday plans. i had no idea who this guy was, i figured i had met him but i was too scatter-brained to realize it. so, my dumb ass keeps talking to him, trying to be polite and not ask who exactly he was. Then the conversation went in a weird direction.
Him:"So, how ARE you and Krista?"
Me: "Uh, we're fine"
Him: "Cause i know you two are partners"
Me: "Um..yeah..."
Him:"SO, have you all ever thought about bringing a man into the relationship?"
Me: "NO!"
(pause)
Him: "Ok, well, I don't really know how these things work. If you don't mind me asking, how do lesbians have sex?"
Then we hung-up and i dialed *69 but i couldn't trace the call. i was so stupid and paranoid that later, when i was putting my shoes on in our dark bedroom, i thought i heard someone tapping on the window. i bolted up and charged in on krista in the bathroom. she didn't get bad (now there's true love) and checked it out for me. it was vibrations from all the fireworks. I'm so dumb.
but still, it's kinda scary.
