i glanced a headline that remarks on the growing number of Americans living & working in China. Whereas years ago the Chinese came here seeking "the American dream," now Americans are going to China for "the American dream." what i found funny about the notion is why should it be the American dream in China. is this an example of American self-consciousness? rhetorical question, of course; after all, capitalism, despite evidence that may suggest otherwise, is not synonymous with the US of A (and neither are synonymous with democracy).
anyway, the Chinese dream is the new American dream.

that is why i am moving into a cave.
