There is this completely awesome sycamore tree that I pass on my way from my apartment to Northampton. I have loved this tree from the moment I saw it, and I've wanted to photograph it properly for some time. I have snapped pictures of it before, but with an awful camera - the pictures never came out quite right. I suppose, in a way, photographing this tree is partially what inspired me to buy a much nicer camera.
The light was not perfect and the lens was not exactly the right one. I suspect if I had wanted to use the lens I wanted, I'd have to stand in the middle of the road with my camera on a tripod, which, for that stretch, is pretty dangerous. I may have to try my dad's wide angle Nikkor lens.
