Run children!
Hide under your beds!
We are having one hell of a mighty storm here tonight. Continuous thunder and lightning accompanied by heavy downfalls of rain. I think of the region here where I live as quite dry but when it rains it buckets down! Have closed all the shutters upstairs and checked beneath the tiles in the attic to make sure there are no leaks. So far all seems good.
Before the storms we had endured a really windy day. Tonight gusts are expected to reach 110 km/h. 16 departments are in a vigilance sate of warning. Hang onto your hats gals!
Apart from the weather I have been having a go at baking my first real loaf of bread, the old fashioned way without a bread machine. I actually quite enjoyed the tactile sensation of kneading the dough and then proving it and seeing it rise. For a first attempt I was pretty happy with the result and will definitely do it again.
Dough "proving"(rising after having yeast added)
Almost done
And voila! Looks like a real loaf of bread and the entire house smelt of fresh baked bread for hours after it came out of the oven.
