A wedding and a funeral in one weekend
Going out of town to Martin's brother's wedding this past Saturday involved leaving Thursday night and driving to Maryland. On Wed we were given the sad news that Martin's uncle has passed away and his funeral would be on Sunday. Needless to say 1600 miles of travel --we attended both a wedding and a funeral. The wedding was a casual in the park sort of thing - nice low key. The funeral was beautiful and moving. A celebration of life and the love of family and community. Now recovering from my journey - looking forward to some down time this weekend. Then it's back to the grad school grind.
