weeee thrift stores!
Today I had a gap between 1:50 till 3:15 between class and volunteering. So i decide to check out the thrift store on campus and...
Browsing through the thrift store... 15 minutes
A black long sleeved turtle neck shirt... 50 cents
a light blue wide turtle neck long sleeved shirt... 1 dollar
white lab coat... 2 dollars
orange fabric napkin to be converted to a hair tie... 25 cents
black pants, glasses, and a stuffed owl... "free" cuz i already own them
having a watari costume practically laid down at my feet... priceless
becuase i am wearing 2 turtle neck shirts and an XL labcoat, i do look rather plump, but still ^^!!!
okay, updating. finished washing and trying on the costume and there is no way in heat stroke hell that I'd be able to wear this in July. Even October is questionable. Either I'll have to lessen the thickness of the layers somehow (maybe cut the sleeves off the blue shirt) or just keep this costume for my own enjoyment instead of wearing it out in public. and once again, this is REALLY not flattering for my figure... I also have to start learning how to bind. I'm crossplaying two males and if I want to pull this off, I have to learn how to strap these C's down.
and even though I don't look very good in this, I still can't get over that all the clothing here (minus the pants) cost only $3.75
