Ok, so it's been a while, figured I should post a small update. These last couple of weeks or so have been pretty hectic, with everything from flying, to grilling, to getting a cell phone bill dropped $1200.
I've gotten 31.2 hours of flight time in the AWACS now, after the three days of back to back flights last monday-wedensday. It's nice when everything works right, however there were problems on almost all three flights, wedensday's being the worst. Almost didn't take off due to an unresponsive rudder, and then the fuel flow gauge reading about 400 or so with the engines off. But we took off nonetheless, only to have radar problems. I start a phone patch with radar maintenance back at Tinker, and while on the call, we start getting massive power spikes making me loose all my radios, and half way towards getting them back online, I get hit with another powerspike. But dispite all of this, the flight was still training effective for me, so...I get to go to my 5th flight on tuesday.
Spent the weekend with some of my friends, grilling, working on cars, playing cards, all around good times. And of course, there was that stupid cell phone bill, but that's been taken care of now.
All in all, life is good right now.
