Yup, that's the man who some people think wants to represent this country and ALL its citizens. People who have deluded themselves into thinking he's not talking about them when he talks about losers: Agent Orange himself.
I don't usually do New Year's resolutions, but this year I'm gonna give it a try:
I will try to be kinder, more understanding, more generous, more compassionate, and more supportive of those who need it.
I will try not to murder any of the belligerently ignorant idiots who think this man is a good thing. (They may need my compassion most of all, but I'll just try for not murdering them to start with.)
I will utterly and completely reject the things for which this man stands.
I will not sit quietly by if and when he tries to harm any of my fellow citizens, or destroy the natural world.
I will not allow him to drive me from my country, nor will I live in fear or despair.
I will not forget what being blind cost the world in 1933.
While not a great believer in astrology, there are, of course, a number of things that apply. I think it's time I started to embrace my inner Metal Tiger.
