Ravens couldn't take flight!

Giants:  30
Ravens:  10

On Sunday, Rob and I headed over to BlackFinn Restaurant in Bethesda to watch the Giants game.  One of my Meetup groups is an Ex-New Yorkers Meetup group, and I am an assistant organizer in the group.  I organize and schedule the Giants related events for the group, so this season, I have decided to watch games at BlackFinn and try to get more Giants fans out there.  I had gone with Rob to a Penn State Alumn gathering there once, and thought that I would like to do the same thing for Giants fans.  So, I spoke with the events manager there to discuss the possibility of such a thing.  Luckily, she's a Giants fan, one of their managers is a Giants fan, and two of the owners are Giants fans, so they were excited to get something like that going.  So far, I haven't had much luck with trying to get people from the Meetup to come, one guy comes pretty regularly, but that's about it.  I have made friends with another Giants fan there, though, so we meet him and his friends there every week.  It's always a good time, and I'm not discouraged by the low turnout.  I'll keep going no matter what, but would like for more people to come.

The NFL's no. 2 defense in the Giants faced the league's no. 3 defense in the Ravens.  The game had the making of a defensive slug-fest, especially since the Ravens was also the league's top ranked rush defense.  The G-Men, however, proved why they have the no.1 run offense, and the three runningbacks, Jacobs, Ward, and Bradshaw (Earth, Wind, and Fire) ran away with the football game.  We took care of business, holding the Ravens to only 10 points, while the Giants were able end the game with 30 points.

Next week, it's off to Arizona, where we won the Super Bowl in February, to face a good Cardinals team.  It's a 4:15pm game, so Rob and I will be going to watch the game right after we come back from State College.
