Summer Starts

So I'm here in Kentucky at Centre for the summer. I'm working in the Student Life Office in the morning and the Finance office in the afternoon. I like the mornings better. Ann, my boss, is really cool and it's alot of fun in the office. In the afternoon all the people in that office are old. I listen to M. talk about putting her mother in assisted living and K.'s plantar fascitis and the steroids J's husband's taking for his rheumatism make him all puffy and she bought him new slacks and they don't fit. UGH. So I just sit on facebook and try to tune it out. Jordan and I moved into our summer houses two days ago. It was an ordeal but it's over now and I'm snug as a bug in a rug in my new room. It's alot brighter and more open than my old room. It has less closet space but the closet is open instead of in Yerkes where it receded into the wall and I couldn't even see what I was trying to get. My roommate hasn't gotten here still. I hope she doesn't today because I still have a bit of unpacking to do. Jordan went home to Louisville for two weeks on Friday so Saturday I spent the whole day in my room unpacking and watching online episodes of CW shows and putting together my big black storage rack. My dad is coming today to give my car and my TV and DVD player. Then I have to drive him to Lexington to the airport so he can fly home. Jordan is having some problems with his mom so I think he's coming home today too. I hope everything works out. I hate to see him upset. We are having an adventure this summer, because we have to feed ourselves, the dining hall isn't open. Jordan is super excited to learn how to cook, it's so cute. I went to Walmart and bought about $100 worth of cooking supplies, like a skillet, pots, measuring cups, a strainer, those bamboo wooden fork and spoon things (my mom always uses to gesture when she's mad and cooking and we all duck from flying marinara sauce), a pitcher for lemonade, mugs, plates, silverware, and a good cutting knife and a cutting board. And an awesome spatula that was worth the $11. I'm going to get out of bed now and get dressed and ready for my daddy's visit.
