I had a satisfying weekend overall. Friday evening I went to the grill around 730 to get some food. Hung out with Elizabeth and Maria and Maria's boyfriend, talking about our Humanities class and giving Maria Greek Info 101 with all the questions she was asking me about what are the fraternities and sororities, how does rush work, what should I be. She's cool though. She's a good friend.
Then I went downstairs to start setting up for the Rocky Horror Picture show with SAC. Got all that done pretty quickly, so got to sit around for about half an hour with J.T., Jake Hill, and Leslie, passing around a big bowl of candy. Then Rocky Horror started. That was an interesting experience. Then I went back to the dorms, gathered up my group, and went to the Phi Tau Halloween house party. I had alot of fun. Had fun talking to people, kicking around the soccer ball with this cool guy, Jordan. Danced for a little while with Mariah and Courtney. Went back to the dorms around 230 but I got caught up talking to Josh the RA, Alwyn, Sunil the RA, and Abby in the lobby of the boys' dorm til like 430.
Saturday I woke up and went to brunch at noon with Colin and Carl. Then I went back to sleep until about six. Started getting ready for the barn party. Went to get dinner with my boys around 7 then headed over to Phi Tau to gather to go to the barn party. We all had to sign a waiver then the sophomore Phi Taus drove carloads of people out to the field. I'm not gonna lie: going down those back roads then pulling up to a random horse fence was a little sketch at first. But I ended up having the best night of the year so far. There was a bonfire and Amir played guitar and everyone sang along (rather embarrassingly enough to Backstreet Boys songs at one point). Colin was my date for the night, but I inadvertantly ditched him. I realized that I hadn't seen him for about an hour because I'd been talking to this guy Jordan, who's a Phi Tau that I met on Halloween (Me and Abby had gone to the Phi Tau mixer on Wednesday and ended up staying after it was over and kicking the soccer ball around with him and Josh the RA in front of the frat house for about three hours...it was crazyrandom). I saw Colin and was like "Dude, I'm really sorry. I've been talking to this guy and I'm having a really good time. Are you cool with just chilling with the boys?" and he said he was fine with it. Colin and I are best friends in a "Mariellen and Robby" kind of way so I thought he was ok with it. I ended up driving back with Jordan and people instead of Colin and then Jordan walked me home. I went over to Colin's dorm b/c I wanted to say goodnight and see if he was ok and I heard him through the door talking to Carl about how I ditched him. I called him later and met up and talked and he wasn't mad anymore. Drama hence avoided.
Today I woke up, went to brunch with Mariah, Colin, and Drew, and then we decided me, Colin, and Drew would go to the mall. We drove the hour to the mall. I then sent them away so I could shop for bras. I got a really cute gray and blue one and a strapless bra that I desperately needed. Then I went to Wet Seal and got a brown tee shirt, a teal tee shirt(five dollars each), two hoodie sweaters one in black and one in green(ten dollars each), a pair of green converse looking sneakers(five dollars), and a little brown lace cami(five dollars). Then we left the mall and went to Target where I picked up two pairs of sweatpant bermuda shorts one in blue and one in green, a pair of sweat short shorts in black, (all three dollars each), a pair of cargo pants(five dollars), and black sneakers (four dollars). Then we went to Red Robin for dinner and I let Drew drive home because I wanted to take a nap. Came home and watched the same Tila Tequila episode for the sixth time with my roommate, then we changed to the Game Show Network and yelled at the contestants and facebook stalked all evening. Emily dropped by to look at my Spanish book and we talked about boys for a little while and I'm not gonna lie, I know stuff that she doesn't but she wouldn't believe me anyway because my former entanglements with said person that she is currently entangled with discredits me. Anyway, I have a busy week ahead of me. My first Potential Student hosting is this week!! And the fall Greek Preview is on Tuesday. Both fun. And I have two papers due that I haven't started...not fun.
