The Weekend

Weird realization...the only time I really update regularly is when I'm at Butcher. Kinda tells u what kind of an education I'm getting here, eh. Hmm...what does that tell u? So here I am again, updating during IDS. My weekend was decent, nothing too exciting, nothing too boring.

Let's see, Friday night. I went to softball after school for pitching and catching (got to see my sweet new catcher's gear), then I went to the bowling alley for practice. I bowled six games, not too bad. They were all pretty much average, and the shot was similar to what I'm expecting for states (ugly nasty and enough to really piss me off). When I got done there I went to the doctor's for my therapy. I only have three more sessions. That's a relief. So after that I went home and "changed"...yeah I changed as in put a pair of tear-aways over my shorts. Either way. Then Brandon and I went to Shore Lanes to make fun of...er watch Mike bowl. Didn't really watch a whole lot though. After, we went to the track, stopped at Hooters, got a little pissed off and headed home. Funny how sometimes things just set u off in a bad mood.

So Saturday, I woke up and was in a good mood. I got surprised with roses which was really nice (thank you again Sweetie). Then came the bowling disaster. I haven't bowled as bad as I did on Saturday in so long. I sucked. I was seriously near tears. That sucked. Anyway though, the bad mood passed. I'll get over it (not to mention I'm gonna kick ass at State's on Friday).

Saturday night was Brandon's mom's 50th birthday party, so we only headed back to his house for a little bit. Then he got his haircut and I went home to change. We ended up heading off around 5:00 to get the food, JP, and head to the Mariner's Club. The party was nice, and of course the gifts were great, being as how everyone loves to make fun of the 50th birthday.

The ride home was the scary part. We left around 10:00 or so and it was snowing a little bit. Of course, by the time we got to 94, it was blowing really hard, so we decided not to take the freeway. I'm still not sure as to whether or not that was a bad decision. So we headed down North River road for a while at 20 mph or so. That's when it got worse. The snow was blowing so hard we couldn't see anything. There was no power so no traffic lights. We couldn't see the road or the curbs. We could kinda see signs by the time we got five feet from them. The scariest part for me was the fact that I could barely even see the headlights of oncoming traffic.

So we continued for a while until Brandon didn't want to drive anymore. We went to Mike's cuz he lives the closest to where we were. Of course we got there and he wasn't home, so we were standing in a cold, dark place, with two people sleeping who didn't know we were there (needless to say, there was no power). So we got a hold of Mike and let him know, then we decided to start the trek home. That wasn't too bad. We took 94 and saw a lot of police lights as well as people stuck in ditches, and the like. That was really disconcerting. The freakiest thing of all though, was probably the fact that once we hit about 16 mile or so, the snow had almost completely stopped. Freaky. And by the time we got to about Garfield, the roads were dry.

So anyway, we made it home safe and Brandon and JP stayed for an hour or so at my house watching TV.

Sunday wasn't anything more exciting than usual. I woke up at 9:30 or so and did nothing til 11:30. Then I decided to practice my flute. Apparently I'm not allowed to practice though, cuz my dad got upset, so I left. I went to Dick's and got some stuff for softball. I spent eighty bucks on new cleats and batting gloves. Not bad. Then I went to Astro to watch Ward and figured out what we're doing for the opening ceremony at States. For the most part we have that figured out now, although we still have to practice, but the hard part's now taken care of. That should be fun. After that, we went to Brandon's and watched a movie and some TV.

Okay, now I'm done telling u about my weekend. I'm sure that was exciting for u to read. Sorry my life is so uninteresting guys, but I've never been good at the whole condensing thing (as Wags says, I need to "tighten" my writing...oh well I could care less).

*Yawn* Almost time for math.
