Birthdays
Today...today it is my little sister's birthday. Even when I was in training at the base, I always managed to call her to wish her well. This will be the first year I can't contact her. I don't know why this bothers me so much. I know she'll never see this so I won't even wish her a happy.
I won't let this get me down. I've been here for more than half a year. I've survived this far and I'll continue to survive. If fact, I think today I'm going to go and have me a nice swim in the ocean. Maybe I'll even try to make a surfboard. It'll give me something to do.
