Challenge: Going Home
Title: "This isn't so bad."
need something to counter the last thing I wrote--
Lelouch leaned back in his chair, sighing and looking out the window. The scenery was both familiar yet so... new. Ever since waking up in his bed that day, he'd had the urge to go find a beach and just sit there. It was sad, really, how he'd grown so accustomed to that place.
"So..."
Lelouch turned to his... friend. She too had found herself in his bed with him the morning of his return - and her arrival, and needless to say neither of them had spoken about that incident since their shock of realizing where they were kicked in. Besides, they had other things to worry about.
Still... this wasn't all terrible. Of all of the people that could have come back with him, he was glad it was her. He'd gotten her into Ashford under the name "Mary" with little problem, and she'd adjusted quickly - after her initial skipping two days of classes to explore the school (and drag Rivalz and Suzaku with her) anyway. She'd even kept the information about him she'd learned from various people on the island a complete and total secret, something which he was extremely grateful for.
Lelouch offered her a smile, after a few more moments of silence.
"Why don't you go eat dinner? It's probably getting cold." If it's even still there, Lelouch added mentally. Oh well, that would be no problem. He waved in the direction of the dining room. "I'll be there in a minute."
"Ah... Okay! But afterwards we're definetely trying out that new game you got, okay?" She winked at him, patting the box on the desk with a growing smirk. She'd been looking forward to that ever since he showed it to her in the store.
He laughed.
"Of course. I did promise, didn't I? I just hope you won't be too disappointed when I win," he told her, giving her a smirk of his own.
"Hah! We'll see about that!" laughing a little - or perhaps the term was cackling, though Lelouch hoped that wasn't the case, seeing as 'enjoying the sound of her cackling' didn't quite have the same ring to it.
Lelouch looked out the window once again, sitting there for a few minutes, the only sound being the voices in the other room. Yes... This really wasn't so bad, was it?
"Leloooouch, C.C. ate all of the pizza! What's the number for Pizza Hut?"
"It's not my fault you're such a pig."
"Me?! You ate two whole boxes before this old man had even gotten back from talking to Lelouch!"
"Old men should watch what they eat. You might get a heart attack."
"..."
"Ah, I'm sure onii-sama will-- Mion-san?"
"Lelouch, get in here and tell your concubine to put down my pizza at once! I was saving that piece!"
"W-W-What did you call me!?"
Lelouch held his head in his hands as Sayoko put a comforting hand on his shoulder, telling him she would go ahead and call in another order.
What had he been thinking? These green haired women were going to be the death of him.
