Title: What I'm Missing
Summary: It's been ten years since the island sent Cierra home.
sigh have another Cierra one coming up later but +A+ don't feel like writing anymore.
When she had first gotten back, she'd given everyone hugs. She'd talked all about the island, about her friends and all of the people she'd met. About an hour later, she was wondering why everyone was talking about a strange place she had apparently been to, telling stories about her she had never lived though they were about her. Two hours later everyone, herself included, decided she had fallen asleep and had a very interesting dream. The next day she had forgotten all about it.
When Ein and Serene came from fighting an espescially strong demon asking for her help, it always gave her a sense of hope, and eagerness to see the demon in question - though that was confusing, demons were to be feared. She always came home disappointed, but she never knew why.
When Ein and Fia were out creating barriers and the like to prevent demons from appearing, Cierra always felt the need to run after them and stop them from doing something they couldn't undo - but that was wrong, demons needed to be stopped and this was for the best of Riviera.
When Ein and Lina went treasure hunting and brought back espescially lengthy books from times past, for some reason, Cierra always felt sad as she opened each one - like each book was a reminder she'd lost something dear to her.
When Ein asked her why she was wearing blue one day, she told him it was so they wouldn't be "color coded", though she hadn't the slightest idea where that thought had come from and had gone back to red shortly after.
She had taken to exploring, sometimes Ein came with her, other times Fia, Lina, Serene, or Rose; and sometimes she was alone. She didn't know what she wanted to find, only that whatever it was... it needed to be found.
It had been about ten years since she had had that dream. It felt like she was in a dream today, too. Everything was hazy, as if she'd walked into a fog. She heard a crash and a yell in a clearing not too far off.
She gathered her things and ran to the source of the crash. Whether it was a demon, an animal, or even a person, Cierra didn't know. But it wouldn't hurt being prepared for them either way.
She wasn't prepared to see a strange little boy step out of an open portal, though.
"... Damn, another place down and still nothi--"
"Excuse me, are you alright?"
The strange little boy stopped, looking at her like he'd seen a ghost. Her first instinct was to tell him that he should go home, there were demons around. But something told her that telling him that... wouldn't mean anything.
"It's... I found her! I finally found her! Haaaaaahahahaha!! Took long enough!"
And then she remembered. Every little thing came back to her, from the day she arrived to the day everyone left.
"Oi, you coming?" He held out a hand to her, that grin she had grown so accustomed to back on the island on his face.
She took his hand. She had found what she had been looking for.
