Green is the orange of red, but herring is not the opposite of orange.

I'm gonna try and figure this one out. I know that green is the opposite of red on the color wheel. So are you using 'orange' as a synonym for 'opposite'? Or could it have to do with the way that the letters in the words are arranged...hmmm...no, I don't think so. Alright. I give up. I don't understand.
