Good/busy day today. I am currently in a hostel in Victoria, BC. I am already in love with this city. As compared to Seattle, this city appears cleaner, has a vibrant music scene (someone is singing in the lounge behind me right now), and a lot of young people (girls).
Earlier today we were in Olympic National Park in Washington. Beautiful.
Happy dance.
Didn't work.
Last night we met an 18 yr old named Sonny who is working as a fisherman off the coast of Washington, Oregon, Alaska. Fuck after hearing about his life (16 hour night shifts, three months out on the ocean at a time, no drugs or alcohol!) I realize I have nothing to complain about. Oh well, we make our own destiny right?
Yesterday we explored Seattle a bit. Went into the space needle and also the old market place on the wharf. Lots to do. Little time, even less money.
I cannot believe I have only been on this road trip for less than one week. The amount of distance we've covered and the amount of cities, states, even countries we touched is a bit overwhelming. In case you lost count, 2 countries, 6 states, and about a billion cities.
Smoking kills.
