I've watched the USA version of Being Human and it was pretty decent. Since I was feeling generous, I watched the first 10 minutes of Skins USA. "Tony" just said "gosh golly while also failing to be as awesome as Nicholas Hoult.

Lolz. I don't watch any Skins but even I'm cringing at the idea of an American legitimately saying 'good golly' with a straight face.

I hear BH was good, I might have to watch it despite my reservations. I have a tiny thing for the guy who plays the vampire, I don't even know, Sam Witwer and our deep-set eyes and large forehead, why are you so attractive to meeeee???

It looked like it was gonna be bad from all the trailers, but I was curious so I tried. I'm just not feeling it. The cast can't act (which is not surprising since none of them are actors) and the dialogue is verbatim from the first episode of the original Skins. That's not interesting.

Sam Witwer is gorgeous and very charismatic in my opinion. He's a good choice for Aiden aka Mitchell. I had my reservations as well. I'm not INVESTED in the UK version, but I do like it and I just find it disrespectful that there's a "American" version when the actual show it still relatively new and popular. It already airs of BBCAmerica so it's not like Americans can't watch the original.

I don't think the casts of the remakes have the same charm that the casts of the originals did/do. Unless one of my flisters tells me the shows improve dramatically, I doubt I'll watch again.

Thats just what I needed to hear. I havent watched it and now that you have said that, I dont have to either (unless I want a good laugh).

I just knew it was going to be shit, so I decided to not even watch it unless someone told it was OMG!AWESOME!!

besides... no way was the new Tony going to be as kickass as this BAMF.

The acting is downright atrocious. You'd think that since they're saying the lines verbatim that all they can go is up, but this cast is NOTHING like Gen 1 UK. You could like. I only got the first 10 mins, but I couldn't take it.

I haven't watched skins since series 2. It hurt too much to say goodbye to the first cast.

ONTD did a viewing party and some actually liked it. Like 10 people out of the 90 something pages that were generated.

I tried it...for 25 minutes...and then just felt like re-watching the real Skins instead after all the deja vu.
