exchanges past, present and future
Past:
I didn't sign up for
remixrevival this year because I knew I'd be on vacation during reveals, and I feel it's not fair to authors if I can't comment promptly on their gifts (yeah, Remix isn't a gift exchange, but the same principle applies). But I did write a Madness fic:

This is a remix of Down to a Sunless Sea by
marmolita, in which everybody's a merperson; when I read it, I was expecting that only Kokachin was a mermaid (for reasons which are spoilery for the show), so I decided to write that version instead. And hey, a new (writing) fandom for me!
Present:
I got my
trickortreatex assignment while on vacation and immediately started planning out my fic. Of course, planning out is not the same as writing, but now that I'm home I've made a start on putting the words down! And as I haven't written any fic since, well, *points up* it is nice to ease back into things this way. Of course one of the great things about this exchange is how much fun it is to write lots of treats, but things are pretty busy for me right now what with catching up with everything I missed while gone, so treats are not that likely to happen, but who knows?
Future:
yuletide is just around the corner, yay! I'm helping out with tagmodding this year, which is how I discovered these two delightful (and slashy) short Youtube videos which were nominated for (I think) the first time. I may request one of them, but even if I don't I would love to see fic for either of these.
Tempur-Pedic "Agent of Sleep" Spec Commercial: Two hot guys pursue each other, fighting, crashing through some poor family's apartment, grappling with each other from room to room until they crash into the bedroom and fall onto the mattress...and fall asleep. Spooning. It's adorable!
Black Coffee - The Careless Lovers (Music Video): coffee's magical powers include making you dance! With your barista!
