trick or treat!

I have signed up for
trickortreatex! (Well, actually, I will have signed up as soon as I have pasted this post's URL into my signup form.)

Dear Trick or Treater!

I like: historical (if appropriate) and canon detail, scenery porn, what-if AUs, original characters, time travel, bodyswap, gen, het, slash, and femslash. I prefer past tense to present tense, though please don't feel constrained by this preference if your story really wants to be in present tense.

Tricks I would like: ghost stories (either scary or sweet), supernatural elements, afterlife stories, relationships between living characters and ghosts/spirits/supernatural entities, meddling deities, magical objects that do surprising things.

Treats I would like: romance, friendship, wacky hijinks, first kisses, first times (of anything), comedy of errors, matchmaking. I don't mind explicit sex in fic, but I prefer more focus on the emotions than the physical mechanics.

I would prefer not to receive explicit horror (fic or art), kink, mpreg, second person narration, or artwork that depicts explicit sex.

Raven Cycle - Maggie Stiefvater (Maura Sargent)

I'd love something set pre-series - Maura's discovery of her gifts, her relationship with Artemus, her relationship with Neeve and/or Persephone and/or Calla. Feel free to go as spooky as canon, which is pretty darn spooky! I will not have read the third book by the time of this fest (other than the free preview chapter), so please don't spoil me, but don't feel constrained to adhere to its canon if you have read it.

Cabin Pressure (any)

Gen, please (other than Carolyn/Herc if you like), but anything with the feel of the show would be lovely. Gertie is haunted? Douglas is possessed? Arthur and Douglas swap bodies? My favorite character is Carolyn, in her full acerbic glory, but I like them all.

Die Dreigroschenoper | Threepenny Opera - Brecht/Weill (Polly Peachum, Lucy Brown)

The Jealousy Duet is my favorite song in this musical, and I would love to see these characters together in a story - sniping at each other, in a threesome with Macheath, discovering a mutual attraction and ditching Macheath for each other, fighting crime together, perpetrating crime together. Post-canon, Lucy arresting Polly - or, in a reversal of fortunes, the other way around? Bodyswap? But if you only signed up for one of these characters, that's fine - this fandom needs fic, and I'll enjoy whatever you choose to write or draw!

ETA: Just to make it clearer - if you don't want to write Lucy and Polly together in a story, feel free to write either one, either solo or with whichever other characters you like. Um, not father/daughter incest, please? But anything else that tickles your fancy.

The Borgias (any)

The body count in this series is impressive - which means it's fertile ground for ghost stories! Micheletto haunted by Pascal's ghost? Cesare haunted by Juan's ghost? If you'd rather write or draw something sweet, I am always touched by Cesare's loyalty to his family, Micheletto's loyalty to Cesare, and small happy moments between Micheletto and Pascal (or his ghost!). I would prefer not to see requited Micheletto/Cesare (though I am totally on board with unrequited love and unhealthy codependency here) or fluffy happy Cesare/Lucrezia (though I am totally on board with passionate guilty desire).

Rome (any)

Again, impressive body count, crying out for a ghost story. If you're hard up for ideas, how about Atia haunted by Servilia's spirit, Lucius Vorenus haunted by Niobe's spirit, Brutus haunted by Julius Caesar...you get the idea. Or something dealing with the darker bits of Roman mythology and beliefs. As far as relationships go, I vaguely ship Brutus/Cassius, prefer Antony/Cleopatra to Antony/Atia, and am fond of the somewhat paternal relationship between Caesar and Brutus, and the strong loyal friendship between Pullo and Vorenus.

There is still time to sign up, if you haven't yet! Here is the AO3 collections page with all the important links.
