why yes, I do like them apples
I have passed 2000 words on my eagle_rbb story (and yes, I did end up scrapping my first attempt) which means that I can relax a little and maybe poke at the cyborgs again. It's still not anywhere near done, of course. But at least now motetus won't have to beat me up!
I am contemplating signing up for
festivids this year. I did it the first two years, but skipped last year. I am just not sure if I can come up with six sources I'd be interested in seeing vidded, or worse, four I could do. Maybe I should actually finish the vid projects I'm poking at now, instead. Afraid of commitment, that's me.
In other news, I have WAY TOO MANY apples. This is because (for the second year in a row) I went to a harvest party at an orchard belonging to friends of friends. Their trees - mostly apple, a few pear - are ludicrously prolific this year, and we picked and picked and there are still enough apples on those trees to feed all the homeless in Colorado. Provided they like apples. They also have a cider press, and from last year we knew their fresh cider is AWESOME, so we had saved some gallon jugs and now have about six gallons of cider in the freezer (and another in the fridge).
But apples. OMG I have apples. They are tasty! But I might have overestimated my ability to make dried apples and chutney and baked things. Hopefully they will not go bad too quickly in our cool basement.
I keep thinking of things I want to post and never getting around to it until they are irrelevant or mostly forgotten. Maybe someday I'll do a meme again...
