I finally watched the third Sherlock (BBC) episode/movie, and - I'm not in love with it, but I like it okay. I had a bit of a vid bunny a while back, so I glanced at holmesian_news and saw enough vids there (and watched a few of them) that I rapidly decided that the world probably doesn't need Yet Another Stupid Sherlock Vid. But! I also noticed an intriguing-sounding vid, and I watched it, and ♥♥♥!!
The Boys Are Back by elderberryink | Multi-canon Sherlock vid. Hats, violins, ludicrous disguises, running about and irritating Watson. However different they are each time they return, some things never change. What I love most about multifandom vids is when they cut between different characters in different places doing the exact same thing, and this vid has a lot of this. But the difference is - it's the same characters, just different versions! A fabulous concept, well executed. I'm only familiar with three of the five sources here, but that's okay; they're all Sherlock and Watson, more or less, and instantly, hilariously recognizable. I had also noticed how (in particular, because I watched them in close proximity) the BBC version often echoes the Brett version. My favorite part is the violin musical interlude!
