Aid and Comfort
Sharpe: Richard Sharpe/Jack Spears, NC17, 5775 words.
Summary: Even an honourable man sometimes finds temptation difficult to resist.

This story is set within the events of (and is completely spoilery for) Sharpe's Sword. I am grateful for the aid (and comfort) of
the_stowaway, who reminded me of the delicious Sharpe/Spears subtext in this episode, let me steal all her best ideas from the plotbunny I still hope she writes eventually, fixed all my canon and period goofs, and made lots of excellent suggestions including the one that sparked my train of thought leading to the title, which is of course from the British Treason Act 1351. Any remaining errors are mine.
