a couple of constructed reality SGA vids
I adore constructed reality vids. I am in awe of the way they transcend canon and not only reinterpret the text, but create something totally new. Here's one that just came across my flist yesterday, and one that I missed when first posted, but discovered on crack_van and am so glad I did.
The Choice by mamoru22 | McKay/Sheppard, PG, vid. Scenes from Epiphany are used to imply an AU history for John and how he met Rodney and came to Atlantis, and there's some astonishing vid-manip work.
Petty Theft by sandrainthesun | McKay/Sheppard, R, vid. This is a faux trailer for a nonexistent movie, reminiscent of starrylizard's Atlantis Royale - but instead of Flanigan does James Bond, it's McKay and Sheppard do Ocean's Eleven. Fabulous use of a wide variety of source material, and put together really well.
Okay, now I must find food. Just got in from a totally lovely run. Snow on the mountains, blue sky, warm sun. Yay!
