new dS story: Being Ray Kowalski

Nov 27, 2007 12:09

I am overjoyed to finally unveil the story that has been variously referred to here as "the genderfuckswappy thing" and "the Rae story"! It's been over a year in the writing, and it's my longest story by over a factor of two (OMG!), and I really, really hope you all enjoy it.

Being Ray Kowalskidue South: Fraser/Kowalski, 50,300 words, NC17, ( Read more... )

I'll be back to read it once I have a little less on my plate, writing wise, dsss has eaten my life. But as your personal cheerleader, I offer a double back flip. (The best bit about being an internet cheerleader is my klutzy inability doesn't come into it).

Hah, now it is time for me to turn my attention to my DSSS as well. So I shall cheerlead you for yours, since you so helpfully cheerleaded for me! \o/

OMG, how exciting! Congratulations on getting this finished and posted! I've been looking foward to this for ages.

I am sorry to even ask, but is there any way to get this story as a single file? Just wondering. I will be converting this in order to listen to it later. I can do each part, but it would save me loads of keyboarding if there was a place to get it in one go.

If you click on the link Isis provided and page down below the illustration, I think you'll find it is one file! The quick links are just jump cuts, jumping you to each chapter beginning in the page. Go! Convert! Listen.

It's really good. I've been secretly--okay, not so secretly--so excited about this story for months and waiting for this day so you all would get to read it, too! \o/

Oh, yes, I see that now. Thanks for the heads up! Can I say that I was completely and utterly distracted by the gorgeous illustration? I love it! I've been looking forward to that for awhile, too. Awesome. I am going to be looking at that a LOT. :D

Woot, I am so looking forward to that one! (And of course I totally don't have time to read it now. Grr.)

Aw, thank you for that. Of course nobody has the time right now because we are all working feverishly on Seekrit Santa and Yuletide stories - but I figured if I didn't get this out now, everyone would be too busy reading those to pay any attention!

AWESOME

I just sat down and mainlined the whole thing. The details are great, and I'm with everyone else loving how Ray-like Rae is while at the same time being her own self. And I heart your Fraser, because he is the same everywhere and woooobie. *smish*

Yay, thank you, I am so glad you liked it! And Fraser - one of the things that I loved writing was how Rae grows to conflate them both so that he really is the same person in her head, and she LOVES HIM and he LOVES HER and that's just all. He is such a wooooooobie!
