Now, yes, for all I know, they can't tell (not that I would know if they know how or not), but I think I would, generally speaking, prefer to see ads than risk having my LJ terminated if they could tell, and more generally, I think it's always good to be aware one is violating TOS if one is going to do it--choosing to do so is one thing; doing so because one isn't paying attention is something else. And I reckon you might be inclined, just now, to agree that suddenly losing your account kind of sucks, especially if it isn't back up.
So my point here is not OMG people using an ad-blocking doodad are bad and wrong, just, as long as you're pointing at it, it might be not a bad thing to say (of course, you actually totally aren't supposed to do this). Or not.
