Rain go away!!
It was pouring yesterday. I don't mind rain at all but when living here the rain makes the basement flood.
My cats are still in the basement because the other two cats here are still afraid of them. IDK why, my cats are very social. Anyway, the basement has water bubbling up from the crack in the floor, because the sub-floor was flooded and so all the rugs and blankets I put on the floor for my kitties were soaked. The floor was covered in water and my cats headed for higher ground (the shelves and the cot I put down there for them).
So this morning I am down there cleaning the water up and hanging the covers and rugs up hoping they dry in a day or two. This sucks..
The cats were freaked last night, but today they are doing better and Jasper is wanting to go downstairs to check things out. I am airing out the basement now...it has the old basement smell that gets worse when it gets wet like that.
In the meantime, the house is divided at the main hallway with a barrier to keep the cats away from each other.
